How to Overcome Procrastination and Overwhelm

Are you bogged down in webinars and shiny objects?  We all have those distractions coming at us from all directions, I think the statistic right now is that the average adult receives about 147 emails per day.  AND…if you’re in the internet marketing space, you are getting even more than that right?  Below I’m going to share a Facebook live video about some struggles that I recently had and what I did to overcome it.  I’ll also share a couple of ideas for taking your information overload and making it work for you. This blog post is in response to Natalie’s 10 Day Freedom Plan Blog Challenge Day 7

IMPERFECT ACTION DAILY IS BETTER THAN NO ACTION

(Sorry for the video quality, but HEY imperfect action at least it’s out there right?)

Sometimes you just get busy, but consistent action over time will still help you on those days when you find yourself with more on your To-Do list than you have hours in the day.  Dust yourself off and get back in the pocket.  READY, FIRE,  and then aim – you can always optimize, add a blog post, make a video that clarifies your message later.  I have found that the more REAL I am, the more engagement I get from the content I share.

Here’s the positive result from my past marketing I was talking about in the video:

HOW TO TURN YOUR DISTRACTIONS INTO CONTENT

After you have watched the 10th webinar for the week, hopefully you’re not really watching 10 webinars, BUT..what do you do with the information?  You have two options at this point:

  1. Implement what you just learned and share your results
  2. DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO MAKE SURE IT WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME

Hopefully you go for OPTION #1.

If you are using information products and have more than one of them saved somewhere that you haven’t even used yet, why not do your own case study?  Check out my previous post on how to review products from the perspective of the end user and NOT as an affiliate or sales person.  Buying products is not the problem, it’s what we do with them that matters.  Are you getting the results?  Have you even tried to implement the strategies?  If you haven’t then you have to exercise some self-control and resist the temptation to jump on the next fad train that comes by.  Don’t get another product until you have either proven the method doesn’t work or achieved some type of result that you can share.

If you found value you in this Please share it with someone who you think it can help or click ‘LIKE’ on my Facebook page link in the right column.
